Che Adams set for Southampton transfer exit as THREE Premier League clubs eye cut-price deal

The 27-year-old has been at St Mary’s since 2019 and is apparently keen on a switch

Scotland striker Che Adams could be set to land his dream move this winter, with several English Premier League clubs circling.

The Southampton frontman is believed to be attracting interest from three clubs in England’s top-flight, according to Sky Sports. Adams has scored six times and provided a further two assists this season despite making just 10 starts. His most recent strike came during a 4-0 FA Cup rout over Walsall last weekend and it could be his final bow should someone make their move in the coming days.

It would be the last chance for Southampton to recoup some money for Adams, with the 27-year-old out of contract in the summer. And the report continues by claiming the forward is keen on testing himself at the top again.

Both Wolves and Everton have been rumoured destinations in previous transfer windows but no move was finalised. The Daily Mail also claim Wolverhampton Wanderers are keeping tabs on the 27-time Scotland cap.

Southampton would let Adams leave St Mary’s should the right offer come in because they already have Adam Armstrong, Sekou Mara and Carlos Alcatraz who can deputise as a ‘false nine’ in his absence.

These next few months could prove vital for Adams with his chances of leading the line for Scotland at Euro 2024 hanging in the balance. Scots boss Steve Clarke has proved loyal with his selections since taking the Hampden reins but Adams will be desperate to think carefully about his next switch so he’s a cert to start in Germany come June.

Thiago Motta has had a major influence on Lewis Ferguson’s rise to the top and it’s unsurprising his successful Bologna stint has created vast interest from across the continent.

That’s according to his agent, Bill McMurdo, who told Italian outlet Calciomercato about Ferguson’s great respect for the one-time PSG star turned manager and how their positive connection has benefitted both the team and Ferguson himself – both now and in the future, with Serie A giants Inter Milan among the clubs swirling around his services.

And McMurdo is not surprised by what the former Aberdeen midfielder is doing over in Italy, having featured 52 times for I Rossoblù since his £3million switch almost 18 months ago. “I was convinced that Lewis would have a better season than the previous one,” he recalled. Every year since he became a professional he has grown as a player. This factor will also characterize his experience at Bologna, because he is a true student of football. He wants to develop every aspect of his game.”
