Injury Report: Titans Two Sensational players Returns to Practice Ahead of Week 18 Clash
NASHVILLE — Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice in advance of Sunday’s season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Levis took snaps during the media viewing window of Thursday’s practice. He had exited last Sunday’s 26-3 loss to the Houston Texans with a right foot injury that he suffered in the second quarter.
On Tuesday, Titans coach Mike Vrabel said that if Levis can’t play, he’ll start Ryan Tannehill at quarterback.
“We’ll evaluate that through the week and see how practice goes. Then we’ll prepare accordingly and make sure we give everybody the best opportunity to win the football game,” Vrabel said. “We’ll see everybody’s health as they work through treatment today and practice and treatment throughout the week.”
Cornerback Eric Garror also was upgraded from non-participant on Wednesday to limited participant for Thursday’s practice. Center Aaron Brewer (ankle/knee) was also limited for Thursday’s session.
Running back Derrick Henry didn’t practice on Thursday for non-injury-related rest.
Guard Daniel Brunskill (ankle) and tackle Jaylen Duncan (neck), were both limited on Wednesday, didn’t practice Thursday. Defensive back Anthony Kendall and defensive lineman TK McLendon practiced neither Wednesday nor Thursday.
DeAndre Hopkins (NIR-Rest), outside linebacker Caleb Murphy (shoulder), cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting (hip), and tight end Kevin Rader (hip) were limited for both practices.
The Titans have one more practice on Friday and a walkthrough on Saturday before Sunday’s Noon CT game at Nissan Stadium.
“Despite being ruled out for his second straight game due to a concussion, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has begun to make some progress, and there is optimism he could be ready to play next week at home against the Tennessee Titans, a league source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter,” ESPN reported on Sunday afternoon.
The Texans would certainly love to have him back as the team is in the midst of a crucial stretch as they attempt to clinch a spot in the postseason. The Texans were able to notch an overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans last week with Case Keenum serving as the team’s starter, but the offense as struggled to move the ball or score consistently without Stroud leading the way.
