Leeds United aiming to sign £8.6m winger who’s good enough to play for Real Madrid
Leeds United have already been linked with a move for Fenerbahce winger Ryan Kent but it appears as though they could now be interested in one of his teammates.
Kent has been a long-time target at Elland Road for several years now and is said to have handed in a transfer request amid interest from Leeds and Premier League side Bournemouth.
The 27-year-old only moved to Turkey on a free transfer from Rangers in the summer but has failed to make any sort of impact, though the new name linked with Leeds certainly has.
It is said that Fenerbahce do not want to lose the 26-year-old this month, but at the same time, he would be open to a return to England, to either of the three sides interested.
Osayi-Samuel ‘can play for a club like Barcelona or Real Madrid’
However, in Turkey, Osayi-Samuel has played the majority of his matches as a right-back, which would therefore make a move to Leeds surprising.
Leeds were linked with a move for Osayi-Samuel in the summer, though a deal never materialised and he has since gone onto enjoy a good start to the season at Fenerbahce, with two goals and four assists across 24 appearances.
Osayi-Samuel already has almost 200 appearances in English football under his belt from his time at both Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers, where was predominantly a winger.
However, in Turkey, Osayi-Samuel has played the majority of his matches as a right-back, which would therefore make a move to Leeds surprising.
He is a player with clear quality, though, with former Turkey international Guvenc Kurtar stating that he could be good enough to play for a team like Real Madrid or Barcelona, if he pushed himself.
Given links to David Brooks, Leeds could well be in the market for someone who plays down that right side, but it has to be said, Osayi-Samuel does not feel the right sort of fit.
