Green Bay Packers Kicker Mason Crosby Suffers Brutal Injury during their matchup.

The Green Bay Packers decided to part ways with their all-time leading scorer prior to the 2023 season.  The veteran kicker had been in Green Bay since the start of the 2007 season.

All season long Crosby had made it clear to the league that he was staying ready in the event a team needed a veteran kicker.  The Rams decided to sign Crosby to a contract earlier this month, however, he was released about a week later.  On Friday it was reported that the New York Giants would become his second team this season after he signed a one-year deal with the team.  Unfortunately, news has surfaced today that will be a major set back for the 39-year-old kicker.

This is a brutal blow to a veteran kicker who has been working all year long to stay in game-ready shape.  Crosby had announced before the season even started that he is continuing kicking workouts, showing that he still had “it.”

Mason Crosby will always hold a special place in the hearts of Green Bay Packers fans.  After taking over the kicking job in 2007, he never lookeded back.  Prior to his departure from the team in 2022, Crosby became one of the franchise’s most beloved players.

Hopefully he will be able to make an appearance before seasons’ end.
