This Joe Flacco Stat Should Get Browns Fans Excited For A Postseason Run
Cleveland is currently sitting at nine-and-five with just three games remaining in the NFL Season. 2023 has had no shortage of crazy storylines for the Browns, but none has been better than the Joe Flacco couch-to-starter saga playing out right in front of us.
Now as the Browns close in on a playoff berth, a notable stat is making the rounds that puts Flacco in the same class as Tom Brady. Those two quarterbacks are tied for the most road playoff wins in NFL history with seven.
That’s very relevant for as Cleveland sits in the drivers seat to make the playoffs as a wild card team and would play any potential playoff matchups on the road.
Baltimore took care of business on Sunday Night against the Jacksonville Jaguars to clinch the first playoff spot out of the AFC and position itself to win the AFC North. As things stand today, the Browns would be the five seed in the conference if the season was ending.
In Flacco’s 15-game playoff career, he has compiled some pretty solid numbers, rackin gup 3,225 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions. The majority of those stats came in the 2012 run to the Super Bowl where he threw for 1,140 yards and 11 touchdowns en route to his Super Bowl Title.
There is still work to be done for Cleveland to get into the tournament however, Sunday’s win was a massive step. 9-5 Cleveland is one game ahead of every other AFC team that is in the hunt for the wild card.
Getting their 10th win against either Houston, New York Jets or Cincinnati feels imminent and would all but lock up a wild card spot for the Browns.
The first step is to get in then they’ll get a chance to put Flacco’s postseason prowess to the test.
