Browns Set Notable Franchise Record With Win notable ace…
The 2023 NFL season seemed to come to an end for the Cleveland Browns after star quarterback Deshaun Watson went down with a season-ending injury, as the team didn’t have a player on the roster that could fill his shoes, even though the defense was clicking.
Even before Watson went down for the year, the Browns lost arguably the league’s best running back for the season, with Nick Chubb going down with a nasty knee injury that would keep him sidelined for the rest of the 2023 campaign.
Despite all the injuries and playing in the toughest division in the NFL in the AFC North, Cleveland is still very much in the playoff picture in AFC, with the team doing something the franchise has never done this week while taking on the Chicago Bears.
According to Jake Trotter of ESPN, the Browns have five wins on the season as the result of a game-winning drive in the final two minutes of the game.
Considering all the adversity that this team has had to go through in order to remain a force to be reckoned with, this is an impressive feat, to say the least.
Even though the running game was nonexistent for the Browns on Sunday, veteran quarterback Joe Flacco was able to do enough under center to lead this team to a ninth win on the season, with 374 yards thrown and two touchdowns.
Flacco did throw three interceptions, but he helped the team get on the board three times in the fourth quarter to help secure the win over the Bears.
