NEW DELHI: The Chicago White Sox have acquired catcher Max Stassi from the Atlanta Braves, just one day after he was traded from the Los Angeles Angels to the Braves. In addition to Stassi, the White Sox will also receive cash considerations as part of the deal. In return, the White Sox will send the Braves either a player to be named later or cash.

In September, he announced that he would not be returning to play for the remainder of the season, citing a family medical issue.
With a career spanning 10 seasons, Stassi has played in 403 games for the Houston Astros (2013-19) and the Los Angeles Angels. Over his career, he has compiled a batting average of .212 with 41 home runs, 42 doubles, and 128 RBIs.
This acquisition comes in the wake of a larger trade involving Stassi on the previous day, where he and infielder David Fletcher were traded from the Angels to the Braves in exchange for Evan White and minor league left-handed pitcher Tyler Thomas. The subsequent move to the White Sox marks another chapter in Stassi’s journey across MLB teams.
