Jeimer Candelario agrees to $45 million contract with Reds amid MLB free agency
Veteran infielder Jeimer Candelario is headed to the Reds after agreeing to huge deal with Cincinnati amid MLB free agency.
The Cincinnati Reds are on the verge of sealing a deal with Jeimer Candelario, with Jeff Passan of ESPN reporting that the infielder has agreed to a multi-year contract with the National League Central squad.
“Infielder Jeimer Candelario and the Cincinnati Reds are in agreement on a three-year, $45 million contract, sources tell ESPN. Candelario, 30, joins a young Reds team that has spent $87 million on free agents this winter. First on the scene with the deal was @Feinsand.”
The deal was first reported by Mark Feinsand of MLB. com who also mentioned that pending a physical, Jeimer Candelario and the Reds have the contract virtually in the bag.
