Browns Injury Report Reflects Rare Good News Leading Into Week 14
For once the Browns appear to be getting healthier based on their Week 14 injury report. Most notably, Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward returned to the practice field with that shoulder injury in a limited capacity. It’s an encouraging sign for the Browns who are coming off back-to-back losses where the absence of their top corner was exploited by both Denver and Los Angeles.
Of course the big question that looms large for Cleveland heading into a key, late season matchup with the Jaguars is who will be starting at quarterback. Joe Flacco seemed to put up number worthy of a second go-around running the offense. But, head coach Kevin Stefanski and team brass have also seen some steady development from rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson in his back-to-back starts against the Steelers and
For now, DTR remains in the concussion protocol and is practicing on a limited basis, which may make the decision easy for Stefanski. The offense also is waiting for updates on top wideout Amari Cooper, who – like Thompson-Robinson – is in the concussion protocol. Stefanski seemed to provide optimism that he could clear in time for Sunday.
