Jets Defender Makes Clear Statement Amid Team Struggles

The New York Jets entered the season with a lot of hope.

For the first time in several years, it seemed the Jets would make a breakthrough to the playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers had finally arrived, seemingly ending the team’s woes at quarterback.

However, things quickly went downhill for the Jets after he got injured.

They now have a 4-8 record and are all but eliminated from playoff contention.

Their current standing has impacted the team’s morale, as indicated by a recent tweet from Sauce Gardner.

Gardner was responding to a fan who asked about the number of catches he allowed in the Jets’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

He described how he might have only allowed one catch for two yards but added, “None of that matters.”

This might indicate Gardner’s mentality towards this game and the rest of the season.

He can put up all the individual stats he wants, but at the end of the day, he realizes the unlikeness of a playoff berth.

The former Defensive Rookie of the Year seems frustrated with his current situation.

The Jets are now on their fourth quarterback of the season, as Trevor Siemian entered the game against the Falcons, relieving Tim Boyle.

Having a revolving door at QB is not a traditional recipe for success, and it has not worked out for the Jets this season.

With any luck, Rodgers will return at the start of the 2024 campaign, renewing hope within the locker room, hopefully extending to Gardner and getting him out of his current funk.
