Dusty Baker, manager of the Houston Astros, has announced his retirement.
HOUSTON, TX – Dusty Baker, the well-known Houston Astros manager, has stepped down as the team’s manager.
Baker is one of the most successful Major League Baseball managers in history.

Baker is the seventh-most successful manager of all time.
Baker has worked with Hall of Famers such as Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr., and Sammy Sosa.
He won 320 games, two pennants, and the World Series in four seasons with the Houston Astros.
Baker made the announcement at an 11 a.m. press conference attended by Baker, General Manager Dana Brown, and Owner and Chairman Jim Crane.
