Liverpool 4-3 Fulham: Player ratings as Alexander-Arnold wraps up a 7-goal showdown

Liverpool defeated Fulham 4-3 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.

The hosts seized the lead twice in the first half, only for Fulham to equalize each time. Fulham took the lead for the first time in the game with 10 minutes remaining, only for Liverpool to claw back into the lead.

The Reds went into second place and kept their perfect home record, thanks to four magnificent goals.

How the game played out
Trent Alexander-Arnold scored with a stunning free kick after a 20-minute period marked by a lengthy medical break to address Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno’s face injury.

Even if Leno hadn’t been staring through thick bandaging dripping from his brow, no goalkeeper could have stopped Alexander-Arnold’s thunderous curler before it crashed in off the underside of the crossbar. The ball also deflected off Leno on its way into the net, resulting in an own goal for the keeper.

Fulham had provided little until tying the game with their first shot of the afternoon. The visitors gathered around the space in Alexander-Arnold’s right-back zone, with Antonee Robinson leading the charge.
