Ange Postecoglou urges Tottenham to bounce back from West Ham defeat | beIN SPORTS

Fabrizio Romano reveals Postecoglou is at risk of Spurs sacking after a disgraceful defeat to the Gunners but this would…

Fabrizio Romano has provided clarity over claims that Tottenham Hotspur manager, Ange Postecoglou, could be in danger of a shock sacking after a poor start to his second season in charge of the club.

Postecoglou has struggled to get his side going this season
Despite holding an impressive record of achieving success in his second season with every club on his resume; Ange Postecoglou has found it difficult to produce results in the opening four games of the season, picking up just four points – Tottenham’s worst start for nine years.

The Australian manager remains a confident figure in front of the media despite a home loss to bitter rivals, Arsenal. He reiterated to Sky Sports: “I always win things in my second year, nothing’s changed”.

Postecoglou’s defiance in the face of adversity hasn’t prevented fans and the wider media from speculating just how long he can continue to fail to produce results.

Famous Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, offered clarity upon Ange Postecoglou’s future at Tottenham by assertively stating on The Debrief:

“[Is Ange Postecoglou in any danger?] Not at all, zero percent, no, no and no. Absolutely everything is under control at Tottenham, a slow start of course – a disappointing North London derby but at the same time they are not considering any shocking decision for the manager”.

“This project [at Tottenham] is completely, completely involved in the idea, the whole plan, and the whole project is around Postecoglou.

“Even in the summer transfer window, they were blending transfers together with him, Dominic Solanke and the others – this is something that are building with the manager, not just for the manager”.

As expected, Postecoglou isn’t in any danger not just immediately but seemingly by Fabrizio Romano’s comments, the Australian isn’t in any long-term danger either with Spurs planning their future with the 59-year-old in mind, which I believe is an effective way of building success in modern football.

We have seen, frustratingly, with Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, who failed to move the dial with the Gunners hardly at all until his third season, that patience can pay off, especially when you are trying to instil a mentality and way of playing that is such a contrast to what the club and players are previously used to.

Losing a North London derby will obviously turn up the heat on Postecoglou, but Tottenham fans should perhaps mirror the club in keeping faith in the Australian for at least a little while longer.
