Arike Ogunbowale Had Very Honest Take on Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese 'Rivalry'

WNBA All-Star Coach Reveals the Truth Behind Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese described as ”Disgusting”this has caused….

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese have been the two most talked about players in the 2024 WNBA season. Prior to the Olympic break, the Rookie of the Year race between the two rivals was neck-and-neck. However, Clark has taken a comfortable lead after her play in August.

Both stars also made the WNBA All-Star team and played together for the first time, leading Team WNBA to an upset win over Team USA. In a recent episode of “Come And Talk 2 Me,” former NBA guard Mark Jackson brought on Team WNBA coach Cheryl Miller to discuss what it was like coaching Clark and Reese on the same team. “Those two being on the floor shattered whatever narrative people were trying to push,” Miller said. “Ain’t no animosity. I mean, it was fun while it lasted, but these guys, all they want to do is win and seeing them interact off the court and shoot around and everything else… it was a lot of fun.

Clark and Reese started their rivalry when they met in the 2023 National Championship with the Iowa Hawkeyes and the LSU Tigers, respectively. Reese won that battle, but Clark has gotten the best of her in the WNBA, going 3-1 in their games. Following the Olympic break, Clark and the Fever are one of the hottest teams in the league, going 7-2 in nine games. On the other hand, Reese and the Sky lost seven straight games before their win on Friday against the Los Angeles Sparks.

While Clark has already helped the Fever secure a spot in the playoffs, Reese and the Sky have lost a lot of ground in the race for the eighth and final spot. Chicago will be in must-win mode for the remainder of the season.

On Wednesday night, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever went up against Rickea Jackson and the Los Angeles Sparks for the third and final time of the 2024 WNBA season.

Throughout the season, Clark has broken numerous records, including the league’s first triple-double by a rookie and the most assists in a single game (19 against the Dallas Wings). Against the Sparks, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star did it once again.

With 6:06 left in the third quarter, Clark hit her second 3-pointer of the game and her 100th of the season. In doing so, she became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 100 3s, doing it in just 34 games.

Clark has led the Fever to their first WNBA playoff berth since 2016. This happened when the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream both lost on Tuesday night. Indiana also has its first winning record in more than five years after winning six of its first seven games following the Olympic break.
