WHAT HAPPENED?
The Red Dragons have seen their stock soar in North America since welcoming Hollywood superstars onto their books as co-owners in 2021. The award-winning ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series has opened up a window to the world.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Welsh outfit have been back in the United States and Canada this summer – with another pre-season tour seeing them face Bournemouth, Chelsea and the Vancouver Whitecaps – and that trip has also allowed scouting missions to be taken in.

WHAT PARKINSON SAID
Parkinson is impressed by what he has seen from MLS outfits, saying when asked if Wrexham could explore the option of luring talent over the Atlantic in future windows: “Definitely. If the right player became available, we wouldn’t hesitate. I think it would be great for the club, with the profile over here, but obviously it has got to be a player that can make a difference for us. We wouldn’t just bring someone in because they are from Canada or the US, it has got to be the right player to fit in with the team. But it would be great. All of the players I have seen – I saw another MLS game live – there is a lot of good technical ability over here. There are a lot of players that probably could transition into the EFL.”
