TalkSPORT have revealed that Toney is actually ready to run his contract down and leave on a free transfer in 2025 if he cannot secure the move he wants in this window.
The report confirms that Tottenham and West Ham United are the most interested clubs in Toney, with the striker preferring a move to Postecoglou’s side.

The report adds that clubs in Saudi Arabia are also weighing up a move to sign the Brentford star in the coming weeks.

Should Tottenham sign Toney?
Tottenham definitely need a new striker this summer.
Heung-min Son and Richarlison shared the duties up top in the 2023/24 season, and both of them did a pretty good job. The South Korean ended the season as their top scorer.
However, to go to the next level, Tottenham need an out-and-out striker, and Toney would be a great option for Postecoglou in the coming weeks.
The Brentford star, branded as ‘world-class’ by Thomas Frank on TNT Sports, has proven that he can score goals in the Premier League and at 28, he is in the prime years of his career.
We think Tottenham should try and sign Toney before the window shuts in August.
