Tottenham Hotspur face Japanese side Vissel Kobe in the J League World Challenge final on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou – who formerly managed in the Japanese top flight – will be keen to see his side record a third consecutive pre-season victory, after wins over both Queens Park Rangers and Hearts in the past week.

Spurs have already strengthened with the signings of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall so far this summer but, like most Premier League sides, the Lilywhites will likely have to offload players before the window shuts in order to adhere to profit and sustainability rules.

Now, it appears that two members of Postecoglou’s squad have been given permission to talk to other clubs about potential moves.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the North London club have allowed both Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon to miss their tour of Japan in order to seek moves away from the club.

Gil is expected to leave Spurs this summer

The pair are both expected to depart Tottenham before the end of the current window, Romano claims, and they have therefore not travelled with Postecoglou’s squad.

Gil, 23, joined Spurs from Spanish side Sevilla in 2021 and has since returned to the club for a spell on loan, as well as being loaned to fellow La Liga side Valencia.

The winger has made just 43 appearances for Tottenham during his three years with the club, failing to ever establish himself as a regular for the North London outfit.

Reguilon, meanwhile, was signed from Spanish giants Real Madrid four years ago and has since played 67 times for the club.

The full-back has spent time on loan at both Manchester United and Brentford, but Romano claims that the Spaniard – along with teammate Gil – is now likely to depart the club likely.
