Tottenham backed to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig amid £55million-plus transfer news.
John Wenham has called for Tottenham to sign Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the Spain international would “considerably improve” Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
It comes after a report in Bild (9 May) revealed that Spurs are one of several top teams keeping an eye on Olmo, who has a £55.8million release clause.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the club could make a statement by signing the 26-year-old.
“Olmo is a very good player,” Wenham said.
“He is highly regarded and someone who would considerably improve our squad.
“I would love to see Spurs go out and sign him because I know that every big club wants him.
“It is a positive thing for Tottenham to be linked with exciting players such as Olmo.”
Ange Postecoglou could benefit from the arrival of Dani Olmo at Tottenham
It has become apparent that Spurs are lacking quality options going forward.
Olmo is a player with plenty of experience at the highest level in Europe and someone who would represent an upgrade on Postecoglou’s current options.
Plenty of top teams are looking at him, demonstarting the quality of player he is.
Should Spurs go out and sign him, it would be a real statement of intent from Daniel Levy and the club.
In other Tottenham news, one player would be keen to quit his current side to rejoin the club.
