Leicester City have been placed under a registration embargo by the EFL for allegedly breaching Profitability & Sustainability Rules (PSR).
The club responded strongly to the Premier League and EFL, saying they have issued legal proceedings against both. They have said the registration embargo is ‘both restrictive and premature, with more than a quarter of the club’s 2023-24 reporting period remaining’.
LCFC will be seeking that each of these proceedings is determined by an appropriate and fully independent legal panel,”a club statement read. “The Club is committed to ensure that any charges against it are properly and proportionately determined, in accordance with the applicable rules, by the right bodies, and at the right time.”
The embargo is the latest bombshell for the club to deal with after they were charged with allegedly breaching PSR by the Premier League. The Foxes have been referred to an independent commission
