There is excitement in Buckeyes camp as a significant shake-off has just occurred….. with the introduction of…….2025 super star WR his commitment will bring……
The 2024 college football season ended less than two months ago with the Ohio State Buckeyes national championship victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but we’re already back into the swing of things with spring football kicking off in certain places around the nation. While not every team is lacing them up this week, there are a few select programs who got to hit the field on Monday morning and get their prep for the 2025 season started. The Miami Hurricanes were one of those teams, giving us our first look at quarterback Carson Beck with ‘The U’ logo on his helmet.
Beck was unable to do too much on Monday as he continues to recover from his elbow injury suffered at the end of the 2024 season. In mid-December, Beck had surgery on his right elbow to repair his ulnar collateral ligament. While he isn’t able to throw just yet, Miami head coach Mario Cristobal said recently that he should be able to soon.
“Carson is doing well,” Cristobal said last week on ESPN’s SportsCenter. “He’s running really fast. He’s not throwing the ball yet, but he’s very close to doing so, so he’s taking part in all that he can do. And he should be throwing soon, maybe in a couple of weeks or so.” Despite his injury last season, Miami was still enthusiastic about bringing Beck to Coral Gables to lead their team in the wake of Cam Ward’s departure, the former quarterback who is in contention to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Cristobal said last week that they feel positively about the direction the Hurricanes are heading in. “He is poised to have a great season with the right protection, right scheme,” Cristobal said. “Our scheme fits him, is designed to be really powerful and strong up front, to get the ball to playmakers outside, to protect him really well in a very diversified passing game that has a lot of autonomy to it. So, he fits us perfect.”
