James Morrison addresses Tom Fellows’ future as winger bags West Brom brace
West Brom signed off for another season with a 5-3 win over Luton but Hatters boss Matt Bloomfield apologised to their supporters
West Bromwich Albion’s interim head coach James Morrison is hopeful Tom Fellows’ memorable brace against Luton won’t be his last act for the club amid reported interest from Everton and Southampton for the £10million-rated winger.
Fellows scored twice for the Baggies, the first brace of his career, in yesterday’s 5-3 win over Luton Town to ensure a frustrating campaign ended on a high note.
Callum Styles also grabbed two goals and Daryl Dike scored for the first time in two years after a terrible time with injuries.
However, Baggies caretaker Morrison was asked if that could be Fellows’ last game. “I hope not. But it’s nice to see one of our younger players get interest,” he said.
“We’ve been working with him in recent weeks to add some goals. He’s an assists man but wants to add goals to his game.
“We asked him to play more inside today, rather than on the wing. He got his chances well and took them well.
“There were a few things that went wrong for us. We’re together as a group and we will look at everyone involved and what we could have done better over the time we’ve been here. We’ll make sure we come back fighting next season.”

Luke Littler made history after defeating Michael van Gerwen 6-4 on the 13th night of the Premier League in Birmingham, setting a record with his fifth overall evening win of the season.
After overcoming Stephen Bunting in a tight 6-5 opening quarter-final at the Utilita Arena—who remains rooted to the bottom of the table—Littler went on to narrowly defeat Nathan Aspinall.
