The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called to attend an incident in Woodbridge on Monday and landed safely at Kyson Primary School on the outskirts of the town.

The incident did not involve anyone at the school and a spokesman for the ambulance service said they attended a private address and were unable to provide any more information.

Mr Gunson, headteacher at the primary school, said: “This morning the East Anglian Air Ambulance landed on the school field so its specialist team could attend a medical incident nearby but unrelated to the school.

“The children had just started to come out to break time and responded brilliantly by quickly clearing the field and watching safely from close to the building.

“The air ambulance team were extremely grateful to us and we were able to enjoy having a look once break time restarted on the playground.”
