Leeds winger Jack Harrison is confident the newly-promoted Premier League side 'can get people talking about Leeds again'

Everton make decision on signing Jack Harrison – Leeds United weren’t expecting this

With Leeds United likely to get promoted to the Premier League, they will have some big decisions to make over the makeup of their squad in the summer. They would need to carry out a major overhaul of their squad that would see several leave and several new players brought in to improve the quality of their team by several manifolds. The recruitment team and Daniel Farke will be tasked with the job of making Leeds Premier League-ready if, as expected, they get promoted to the top flight. However, the Whites will now have to decide on another player who has not been at the club for more than 18 months.

Leeds United are focused on getting the job done and securing automatic promotion to the Premier League in the coming weeks and months with the team sitting at the top of the Championship table.

Leeds have some big decisions to make and several players who have played a part in them being in this position could be deemed not good enough to play in the Premier League.

However, the Yorkshire giants now have an extra decision to make on a player who has not been part of the team for over 18 months due to a loan stint away from the club.

Everton make big decision on Jack Harrison and it affects Leeds United

Harrison left Leeds and joined Everton on loan in the summer of 2023 when the Whites got relegated from the Premier League in the previous season.

The loan deal was renewed last summer but the winger has struggled for consistency this season and has yet to score a goal or provide an assist this term.

Their form has improved since David Moyes returned to the club and the Everton boss will be making decisions on several other players in the summer.

Everton have an option to buy the winger on a permanent deal but according to Football Insider, the Toffees won’t be taking on that option.

Harrison would be allowed to return to Leeds once his loan stint ends at the end of the season, with Everton expected to sign other wingers in the summer.

He has not done enough to convince Moyes and the Everton decision makers that he is worth holding on to on a permanent deal beyond the end of his current loan deal.

The winger has started the last three Premier League games, but he is not seen as a long-term option by the Everton manager who wants different options next season.

Leeds were expecting to sell Harrison in the summer and were hopeful that Everton would sign the winger on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

With Everton changing track, the winger is now set to return to Elland Road in the summer and his future will remain a hot topic of discussion.

Leeds are well on their way to earning promotion to the Premier League and their recruitment drive is set to be based on bringing in players who could help them to stay up.
