Ten players leave Skellefteå AIK

Ten players are leaving Skellefteå AIK.

The club announced this on its social media.

Among these are Axel Sandin Pellikka, Oskar Nilsson and Martins Dzierkals.

Skellefteå AIK is making changes to the squad.

It has previously been announced that Axel Sandin Pellikka and Oskar Nilsson, among others, will leave the club.

It is now clear that eight more players will also leave.

The club announces via a post on Instagram that Martin Dzierkals, Luke Witkowski, Mikchael Brandsegg-Nygård, Anton Heikkinen, Alexander Hellnemo, Ludvig Vard, Lukas Vesterlund and Linus Lindström are also leaving.

Axel Sandin-Pellikka and Michael Brandsegg-Nygård are leaving for the Grand Rapids Griffins in Detroit’s organization.

Dzierkals förstår jag inte varför man dumpar, han har varit otroligt nyttig och bara blivit bättre och bättre. Resten av rensningen köper jag då de antingen drar till NHL nu eller inte direkt övertygat senaste säsongen

GOTHENBURG. After twelve seasons, it’s over.

Roger Rönnberg, 53, was praised in a packed Scandinavium after his last match as Frölunda’s coach.

  • Rönnberg, som är historisk som den mesta huvudtränaren i SHL, lämnar Frölunda för att bli huvudtränare i schweiziska Fribourg-Gottéron nästa säsong.
  • Frölundas ordförande Mats Grauers öppnar för att Rönnberg kan återvända till klubben i framtiden i en roll där han fokuserar på att utveckla unga talanger.

It was emotional in Scandinavium when the successful Roger Rönnberg era came to an end.

 

Immediately at the final whistle, he was hugged by his coaching colleagues in the box and applauded by the home crowd.

– The whole season I have suppressed all feelings for this moment. I have a hard time accepting where I am today and there are so many people to thank. Right here and now I just have to try to hold it together, says Rönnberg.

Sang seconds after the final whistle

“We love Roger ,” the home crowd was heard singing just seconds after the 0-2 loss to Luleå, which ended the season.

Afterwards, his eyes were shiny.

– That’s me. It would be strange otherwise, you’re probably a full-blooded psychopath or something if you don’t feel anything. It’s sad, he says.

– It’s meeting my players and seeing how sad they are. They really wanted to win and we believed in this. It’s actually tough to see the disappointment in the players’ eyes.

Have you understood that this is the last thing you are doing in Frölunda for this time?

– No, I don’t think so. I’ve pushed those thoughts to the future. It will take a while for the present to sink in.

During his time in the Swedish ice hockey top league, Roger Rönnberg has more or less become an institution and the 53-year-old is historic in many ways. He is the most successful head coach in the league’s history, he has the most regular season wins and he has the most wins in the playoffs.
