Hull City player could reunite with manager for relegation battle – Transfer contact made

According to a claim in the Turkish media, Esenler Erokspor are showing interest in Hull City attacker Doğukan Sinik.

The 26-year-old looks surplus to requirements with the English club and could return to his home country during this transfer window.

Ajansspor today report on Esenler Erokspor’s pursuit for the Hull City player and they say contact has been made to sign him before next month’s transfer deadline.

It’s claimed the Istanbul side’s manager Bülent Korkmaz is keen on a reunion with Sinik following their time together at Antalyaspor. Korkmaz was recently installed as Esenler Erokspor’s new manager, and he finds himself in a relegation battle with the dreaded possibility of dropping down to the Turkish third tier.

Earlier today we covered reports that Sinik’s Hull City teammate Abdülkadir Ömür is also on the verge of returning to Turkey. The 24-year-old is said to be close to signing for Besiktas and is reportedly keen to leave the Championship club in this transfer window.

Sinik has yet to make an appearance for Hull City this season and spent the second half of last season on loan at Hatayspor.

He’s contracted to the Tigers until the summer.

Former defender Khalid Boulahrouz throws the accusation at the defender today via Soccer News, criticising his performance in the 3-2 win over NAC Breda.

For those that aren’t aware, Boscagli was heavily linked with a move to Brighton throughout the summer transfer window.

He had entered the final year of his deal, and the Seagulls were looking at a cut price move, the thinking being that PSV would sell rather than lose him on a free this summer instead.

The Dutch side refused to do business, though, despite Boscagli making it clear that he wanted the move to the Premier League.

Ultimately the move didn’t happen, and he ended up staying, albeit reluctantly, with the expectation now being that he’ll move on for free this summer.

He’s remained a permanent fixture for PSV this season, with 28 appearances in all competition to date across the Eredivisie, Champions League and KNVB Cup.

It seems, though, his performances have not been up to the usual standard and Boulahrouz believes that is because he is still frustrated at not being allowed to join Brighton in the summer.

“I think it also has to do with concentration,” he said when discussing the defensive performance in the 3-2 win on Saturday.

“We were just talking about Boscagli, who also makes a lot of concentration errors. Peter Bosz’s game requires a lot of concentration right now.

“He had a good period, but after the uncertainty whether he would stay or go away, he never tapped his level again. Now he makes a lot of concentration errors, but I have the idea that he thinks: “I don’t want to be here anymore, I play against my will.” I get that idea a bit from him.”
