Tottenham youngster ‘could become next superstar’ – Compared to Manchester City player
Tottenham Hotspur youngster Luka Vuskovic ‘could become the next superstar’ and follow in the path of Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol.
That’s according to former Croatian star Mladen Petric, who has heaped praise on the Tottenham youngster to BILD.
The Tottenham youngster is spending the season on loan at HSV Hamburg in Germany after securing a loan move at the end of the transfer window.
He had initially spent pre-season as a part of Thomas Frank’s squad after they wanted a look at him following a highly successful loan spell in Belgium last year.
They then elected to send him out on loan to aid his development this season, choosing Hamburg, where his brother currently plays, as the destination. The German side had pushed to get him for much of the summer and convinced Vuskovic that they were an ideal destination.
They are very excited to have secured him for the season, with his debut already planned for this Sunday when they take on Bayern Munich. Both they and Croatia are confident he’ll be a hit and Petric is delighted for his former club as well.
“Luka is a pretty hot prospect, one of the top talents in Croatia,” he said.
“He reminds me of the young Josko Gvardiol, who now plays for Manchester City. Vuskovic could become the next superstar in our country.
“I’m curious to see how quickly Luka settles into his role as defensive leader at HSV, leading the team from the back. That could take a while. He’s definitely an asset to my former team. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Ange Postecoglou’s Premier League return will hit Tottenham fans in the gut

Ange Postecoglou is back in the Premier League, but Tottenham fans didn’t expect to see him back so soon. This story feels like it was meticulously written by the most gut-wrenching author.
In the summer, Tottenham made a controversial call to sack Ange Postecoglou. He will forever be in the history books for winning the Europa League with Spurs against all odds.
Ange strangely went about his business. At times, he was a lone wolf, and he constantly put his integrity on the line with a promise that was hard to keep. Ultimately, Ange fulfilled his promise of achieving success at Spurs
Only for the club to throw it back in his face.
Now, though, Ange is back in the Premier League, and he has unfinished business.
Ange Postecoglou returns to the Premier League (but not with Spurs)
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Ange Postecoglou is set to be announced as the new manager of Nottingham Forest. He will be appointed in time to lead their charge at the Emirates Stadium this weekend, and he will bring with him some former Tottenham members of staff.
Edu Gaspar undoubtedly played a role in the hiring of Ange Postecoglou, after the falling out between him and former Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
This is all a bit strange for Forest fans, who achieved success last season, against all odds, only to go through changes at the highest level and the managerial level. In many ways, their story is something Spurs fans can relate to this season.
Edu is an Arsenal legend and only worked as their director last season. He will have a close working relationship with Ange Postecoglou, which stings Tottenham fans for all the wrong reasons.
No official confirmation has been made as it stands, however, whenever David Ornstein speaks, it should be taken as gospel. Ange Postcoglou’s appointment is as good as done now.
