Birmingham and Wrexham face Ipswich and Southampton on blockbuster EFL opening weekend

The wait is finally over… the 2025/26 English Football League fixtures are now confirmed!

Birmingham City mark their return to the Championship with a home clash against Ipswich Town on August 8, live on talkSPORT.

Wrexham, fresh off their third consecutive promotion, will also be live on talkSPORT as they travel down to Southampton a day later.

Leicester City meet Sheffield Wednesday, who could be reunited with manager Danny Rohl, live on talkSPORT 2 on August 10.

In League One, Luton Town host AFC Wimbledon live on talkSPORT 2 on August 1 after back-to-back relegations from the Premier League.

Rohl’s backroom team are out of contract this month which could leave the club’s preparations for the new season in tatters.
