Chris Campos makes a quality start for Tulsa

In Dodgers minor league action for Saturday, June 28th, we have some pitchers on impressive streaks, James Outman with a salami, and Landon Knack trying to get back into the knack of things.

Player of the day

Chris Campos is on a roll, pitching 16 consecutive innings without giving up an earned run, striking out 17, and walking only two during the streak. On Saturday, Campos completed six innings, giving up one unearned run and getting credit with the win, his fifth.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

James Outman hit a grand slam to put the icing on the cake of a Comets 7-4 win over the Sacramento River Cats. Outman has put together a very productive season with 19 home runs and 66 RBIs. Hunter Feduccia had two hits, including his sixth home run. Landon Knack, who has been getting hit hard

Edgardo Henriquez relieved Knack and got credited with the win. This was the fifth consecutive scoreless outing for the flame-throwing Henriquez, who has pitched in eleven games in June, indicating that he is healthy. Elijah Hainline, who has played the whole season at Low-A Rancho Cucamonga, played his fourth game at Triple-A and has been holding his own with three hits in nine at-bats.

Double-A Tulsa

Campos pitched six innings of one-run ball, and the bullpen closed the game with three perfect innings as the Drillers defeated the Frisco RoughRiders (Rangers) 6-1. Ronan Kopp pitched two perfect innings, and he has now gone 12 consecutive games (16â…“ innings) without giving up a run. In his last 9â…“ innings, Kopp has given up three hits while striking out 14. Kendall Simmons, who hit a grand slam two days ago, hit a three-run homer in the first inning for all the runs the Drillers would need.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps (Padres) walked off the Loons when Leo De Vries singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 2-1 victory. The Loons were held to four hits, their only run scored on a double by Zyhir Hope. Maddux Bruns started the game for the Loons and surrendered one run on two hits in three and one-third innings.

Low-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes got pummeled by the San Jose Giants 12-4, as seven Giants players had multiple hits. The Quakes scored all four of their runs in the fourth inning, the big hit being a two-run single by Victor Rodriques. Other than that, it was all Giants. Jholbran Herder started for the Quakes and pitched two innings, giving up six runs on seven hits and three walks.
