DONE DEAL: Tottenham Hotspur has finally reached a complete verbal agreement to sign ” a very skilful £70m forward after talks in last 24-hours…..

Tottenham keeping tabs on ‘exceptional’ Liverpool defender ahead of deadline day and Reds may sell
Liverpool have had a massive overhaul of their first-team ranks this summer.
While several players have joined the Reds’ ranks and have improved their team, some have also had to be sacrificed.
Players such as Luis Diaz were expected to leave, but then others, like Tyler Morton, would have been players that Arne Slot would have wanted to keep around, especially given how high their ceiling is.

And, even though there’s now only a couple of days left in the transfer window, there could still be some movement within Anfield.
Tottenham now want to sign Joe Gomez ahead of the transfer deadline
One of the main areas that Liverpool still need to bolster this summer is their back line.
Indeed, both Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong have been brought in, but with the recent form Ibrahima Konate has been in, it’s clear that he needs some regular competition to get back to his best.
Of course, Joe Gomez is still among the Reds’ ranks, but as per a report from Sky Sports, it seems like Tottenham are now interested in acquiring his services.
The report shares that the Englishman is now on Thomas Frank’s ‘list’ with AC Milan also interested in acquiring his services.

Sky do, however, outline that Spurs have cooled their interest in signing a new centre-back, but a move could still occur.
Joe Gomez could be sold permanently by Liverpool
Since there are only a couple of days left in the window, many random links will likely start popping up that haven’t even been mentioned this summer.
Gomez is still an “exceptional” talent, according to Ray Houghton, and, on his day, he could easily give Konate a run for his money.
However, due to Gomez’s injury history and the fact that he can play anywhere across the back four, he may be more useful elsewhere or just unavailable.

However, while the Reds would be reluctant to lose him due to his versatility, The Telegraph have reported that the defender could end up leaving permanently.
Which, while it wouldn’t be ideal, would at least allow Slot to put some of the money they’ve earned from his sale towards another player.

Transfers
Liverpool and Crystal Palace set to agree Marc Guehi deal, but one thing could still scupper move
Liverpool are intent on adding two big players to their squad before Monday’s transfer deadline.
The Reds have bought quality and quantity this summer, bringing in five important first team players.
But having also sold plenty as well, Liverpool need to do more to stop themselves from being left short.
Centre-back and centre-forward are the areas of focus, with Marc Guehi and Alexander Isak the key targets. If it is not Guehi and Isak, it is likely to be nobody.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano offered a Sunday update on Isak, and Liverpool are seemingly still confident of getting their new No. 9.
And the transfer expert also weighed in on the situation regarding Guehi, proclaiming that there’s now only one thing which can stop the England international from joining the Reds.

Liverpool and Crystal Palace will agree Marc Guehi price
Liverpool sent a £35m bid for Guehi on Saturday evening, with Palace reportedly coming back with a request of £35m plus £5m in add-ons.
As of yet, there has been no word on Liverpool’s response. However, speaking to his YouTube channel late on Saturday night, Romano says the money involved will be no problem at all.

“The bid is there for Marc Guehi, £35m plus 10 per cent sell-on clause,” he says. “It’s not a problem to reach an agreement with Palace. From what I’m hearing, Liverpool and Palace will reach an agreement for Guehi.
“Club to club is not a problem and player’s side is not a problem, he agreed on terms. Don’t trust the reports saying that he didn’t. The contract is ready, the player is ready to travel and sign.”
Although that all sounds positive for Liverpool, Romano goes on to say that despite the likely agreement, the deal could still collapse if Palace do not find a suitable replacement for their captain.
“This deal depends on Palace,” he insists. “They have to decide internally. The chairman, Steve Parish, has the numbers from Liverpool for a player who’s out of contract next year and not extending the contract. So, on one side keep your player, keep your captain and lose him on a free next season. On the other side he has the money from Liverpool, so take the money and find a replacement.
“So, the question is if Palace find the right replacement and give the green light, Guehi will travel. If he’s not going to Liverpool today, they will be ready for 2026. If Palace call, the deal will get done immediately.”
Marc Guehi scheduled to play for Crystal Palace
When he spoke to the press on Friday, Oliver Glasner appeared to rule out Guehi’s exit, citing the difficulty of finding a player to replace him
