Norwich City, Norwich City target swoop for League One talent

Norwich City target swoop for League One talent

Norwich City are interested in Wigan Athletic defender K’Marni Miller, according to Football Insider.

Norwich City are keen on a move for the League One man this summer. NCFC are preparing for another year in the Championship after missing out on the play-offs.

Miller, 19, is a highly-rated youngster who is being tipped for a bright future in the game. He linked up with Wigan Athletic back in 2024 but they could now face a battle to keep hold of him amid attention from elsewhere.

In this latest update regarding his situation by Football Insider, he has emerged on the radar of the Canaries in this window. Stockport County have also been credited with an interest.

Former Latics boss Shaun Maloney said last year, as per Wigan Today: “It’s a brilliant story for him. The club got him from Guiseley in the summer, the same place we found Josh Stones. He was meant to be with the reserves but – with the injury to Luke Robinson…he’s just getting back into his stride – he’s got his chance. K’Marni has got so much still to work on, but he’s got a brilliant heart, and he tries his best, fights, and runs as hard as he can.”

Norwich City could see Miller as someone to boost their defensive department. NCFC are gearing up for Liam Manning’s first campaign at the helm following his arrival from Bristol City.

Miller began his career at Guiseley in non-league and had a loan spell away from the Yorkshire outfit at Emley to get some experience under his belt. He then signed for Wigan Athletic after impressing them on trial.

The teenager was handed his senior debut by the Latics in October last year in an EFL Trophy match against Carlisle United. He has since featured in three more games, two of which have come in the league.

Will Norwich City sign K’Marni Miller from Wigan Athletic?

Norwich City’s new head coach Manning will want to put his own stamp on the squad over the next couple of months. NCFC will have their sights set on the top six.

If he joined the Canaries, Miller would give them another option at left-back. He would also be a useful long-term option.

The East Anglian outfit may need to fend off competition from Stockport County in this particular pursuit though from Stockport County. The Hatters were beaten in the play-offs last term by Leyton Orient at the semi-finals stage over two legs.
