Leicester City Signs New Deals for Rising Stars and Young Talent
Leicester made a number of announcements today regarding a group of younger players extending their deals. Jeremey Monga is among those players. This indicates that the club is taking steps to secure this young talent’s services. They aim to retain these services in the years to come.
Jacub Stolarczyk are also among that group, extending his deal to 2027. The 24 year old Poland U.21 international has grown and showed great quality, given his Premier League debut last season. He has a total of 20 appearances in all competitions for Leicester so far. He played 10 times in Premier League last season.
Jake Evans was not on the list of players extending or making new deals. He has been linked with a move to Man Utd. However, he is on a scholarship deal. He was signed up last year. Evans (16) is a year older than Jeremy Monga, so he is in a different setting at this point.
The England Under-16 internationals, Jake Evans and Jeremy Monga, had to wear blank shirts last season because Leicester’s home kit is sponsored by BC.GAME, an online cryptocurrency gaming platform. Footballers under the age of 18 are barred from wearing kits displaying gambling sponsors.

Defender Olabade Aluko, 18, has also signed his first professional contract with Leicester after making his Premier League debut at Bournemouth on the final day of last season. Winger Silko Thomas, 20, midfielders Bobby Amartey, 19 and Toby Onanaye, 18, and 20-year-old goalkeeper Stevie Bausor have also agreed extended deals. Nice to see that a contract offer has been handed to 21-year-old midfielder Brandon Cover. He had loan spells with Port Vale and Fleetwood Town last season.
These are all deals that are none contreversial and will align with any manager decision being made. We expect that club to come forward with a statement of what will happen during this week.
Bilal El Khannouss was in the starting line-up for Morocco when they defeat Tunisia 2-0 at home, on the 6th of June. Khannouss played 58 minutes before being subbed off.
Wilfred Ndidi helped Nigeria to their win in the Unity Cup. The game vs. Jamaica were taken to penalties, after a 2-2 draw at full time. Kelechi Iheanacho came on as a sub in the 84th minute.
Jordan Ayew scored one of the goals in Ghana’s 4-0 win vs. Trinidad & Tobago in the same tournament, as they ended in 3rd place.
Woyo Coulibaly made his debut for Mali in their 0-1 defeat to DR Kongo. Coulibaly, born in France, has a life of football at Parma and Le Havre before joining Leicester in January.
Hamza Choudhury was in action for Bangladesh in their 2-0 win vs. Bhutan. Special day for Choudhury, also scoring the opening goal, not a habit from the midfielder who looks to enjoy his new international adventure.
