Leicester City Receive Bid For International Star With Over 300 Club Appearances
As pre-season comes to an end for Leicester City, the departure of Wilfred Ndidi looks imminent. The Nigerian made his move to the then Premier League Champions in the winter of 2017, and has since made over 300 appearances for the club. With a second relegation in three years, it comes as no surprise that the midfielder is a top target for sides all across Europe.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Besiktas have sent a formal bid to the Foxes for Ndidi. Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side finished fourth last season, and eye the 28-year-old as a potential profile in midfield.
Ben Jacobs also adds that the fee of roughly £8 million has been accepted by City, with it now being up to the player to decide between his options. In the final pre-season game versus Fiorentina, Ndidi didn’t come off the bench, which may suggest his future is unclear.
The departure of the midfielder would be the second of the window following the sale of Conor Coady. With the Championship season days away, reducing the squad size will be crucial in helping Marti Cifuentes’ preparations.
How Does This Affect Leicester City
Although he has been a constant within the City sides of the last nine years, it may be the right time for Ndidi to leave. Younger players like Louis Page and Michael Golding are around the first team, and can play a similar role, so making way for talents on less wages, may be necessary.
