Hull City youngster joins new club on loan deal
Hull City youngster Jaedyn Chibanga has joined North Ferriby on loan, as announced by their official club website.
Hull City have seen the prospect return from his spell at Grimsby Borough after he played 16 matches. HCAFC have now let him head out the exit door on a temporary basis again.
Chibanga, 19, has now switched to North Ferriby for a new challenge. He has joined the Northern Premier League East on a one-month deal as he looks to get plenty of game time under his belt over the coming weeks.
The Tigers’ Lead Professional Development Phase Coach Conor Sellars has told their website: “We’re delighted to see Jaedyn joining North Ferriby. He gained valuable experience at Grimsby Borough and we appreciate them for providing him with that opportunity.
“Now, under Chris Bolder’s guidance, Jaedyn has the chance to further develop, and we wish him a successful loan spell for everyone involved.”
New move for Hull City’s Jaedyn Chibanga
Chibanga has a chance to show what he can do at North Ferriby following his stint at Grimsby Borough.
The Doncaster-born man joined Hull City at Under-13’s back and signed on a two-year scholarship deal back in 2022 that expired last summer.
He initially played for their U18s side before breaking into the Under-23’s in the last campaign.
Chibanga is yet to make a first-team appearance for Hull City but was handed his first professional contract back in early July along with teammates Paul Iggulden and George Wilson.
He was then allowed to link up with Grimsby Borough to get some exposure to senior football.
The teenager will be looking to break into the Tigers’ team down the line.
Hull City have provided a pathway into their senior set-up for the likes of Matty Jacob, Matty Jacob, Keane Lewis-Potter and Brandon Fleming over recent years and are a good home for young players.
What now for Jaedyn Chibanga at Hull City?
Chibanga will be eager to nail down a regular place in North Ferriby’s starting XI over the next four weeks.
Hull City will no doubt keep an eye on how he does in non-league.
Letting him go out on loan again is a sensible decision by the Tigers.
Ruben Selles’ side are back in action on Wednesday with an away trip to Burnley. They were beaten 2-1 at home by Stoke City last time out and will want to bounce back.
