Endgame IMMINENT as Tottenham hold ‘two-hour’ talks for ‘dangerous’ star who WANTS to join
Tottenham Hotspur have held a long meeting with Crystal Palace to beat Arsenal to the signing of Eberechi Eze, according to a report, as Spurs manager Thomas Frank and chairman Daniel Levy learn the outcome of a second bid for Manchester City winger Savinho.
It has been an eventful summer for Tottenham, who won the Europa League last season under Ange Postecoglou and will embark on the 2025/26 Premier League and Champions League campaign under Thomas Frank. Mohammed Kudus, Kota Takai, Joao Palhinha and Luka Vuskovic are the new players in the Tottenham squad, while the loan deals of Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel have also been made permanent.
Tottenham are still active in the summer transfer window, with the north London club looking for two more attacking players.

Son Heung-min has left for Los Angeles FC, while James Maddison has suffered a long-term injury.
TEAMtalk’s transfer insider, Dean Jones, has reported that Tottenham are keen on signing Eze from Palace before the summer transfer window closes.
While Palace want £68million (€79m, $92m) for the England international attacking midfielder, sources have told TEAMtalk that Tottenham are ready to pay £55m (€64m, $74.6m) for the 27-year-old, who was described as “dangerous”, “absolutely top” and “an unbelievable finisher” by Eagles manager Oliver Glasner in The Independent in September 2024.
Arsenal hold an interest in Eze, but the Gunners are hesitant about making a bid because they are not certain where the star would play in manager Mikel Artetea’s team.
According to talkSPORT, Eze is ‘open to the move’ to Tottenham, with last season’s Europa League winners being told by his camp that personal ‘terms will not be a problem’.
CaughtOffSide has reported that Tottenham have been in talks with Palace over Eze and have ‘held a two-hour meeting’ with the Eagles’ officials.
The report has also noted that Eze is ready to join Tottenham instead of waiting for Arsenal to firm up their interest in him.
Manchester City respond to second Tottenham bid for Savinho
While Tottenham are working on a deal to sign Eze, the north London club are also pressing ahead in their quest to sign Savinho from Manchester City.
Tottenham have had a bid of €50m (£43m, $58.5m) for Savinho already turned down by Man City, and a report in the Brazilian media has revealed that Spurs’ second offer has also been rejected.
According to GE Globo, Tottenham made a second bid of €70m (£60.3m) $81.8m) for the Brazil international winger.
Man City have rejected it, but ‘negotiations’ are going on over reaching a compromise.
Savinho’s agents have flown to England to hold talks, with the winger seemingly ready to leave Man City for Tottenham before the summer transfer windo⇓w closes.
The report has also noted that Eze is ready to join Tottenham instead of waiting for Arsenal to firm up their interest in him.
A source has told CaughtOffSide that the next 48 hours will be decisive in the race for Eze.
