Paudie O’Connor looks set to join Reading after being linked with a move to Derby County.
According to the Deck, the Imps’ skipper will make the switch to the Royals on a free transfer after his contract expired at Sincil Bank.
But he is now reportedly heading for Reading who have just been taken over by former Wycombe owner Rob Couhig.
O’Connor has spent the last three seasons at Lincoln where he has made a huge impression after making the switch from Bradford City.
Derby are keen to bolster their defensive options, with Nat Phillips back at Liverpool after a successful loan at Pride Park.

That leaves John Eustace with Matt Clarke, Sondre Langas and Jake Rooney as options, with Curtis Nelson out injured. Derby has also been credited with an interest in Eustace favourite Dion Sanderson who will be surplus to requirements at Birmingham.
O’Connor came to Leeds from Limerick in 2017 but was unable to nail down a first-team place. He did just that in League Two with Bradford before moving to the Imps in 2022
Since then he has made 141 appearances, with 45 coming in all competitions last season. He has also established himself as captain and has been offered a fresh deal by Michael Skubala.
Reading are managed by Noel Hunt, who is the brother of ex-Reading ace Stephen Hunt who also happens to be the player’s agent.
