The Sydney Morning Herald reported the Bulldogs have withdrawn from the race to sign Galvin, leaving Parramatta as the frontrunners to sign the 19-year-old playmaker.

Bulldogs manager Phil Gould has been glowing in his praise of Galvin during the past 12 months sparking speculation the Bulldogs would make a play at luring him to Belmore.

“We wish him all the best.”

Gould remains a big believer in Galvin’s ability, but given the Bulldogs’ undefeated start to the 2025 season, the club is not in a position to make a play for Galvin.

Brent Read said on NRL 360 that the Eels are leading the race for Galvin.

“I think the Eels are the favourites because it is not only that Ryles wants him, Isaac Moses looks after Mitch Moses as well,” Read said.

“I think the one advantage the Eels have got is Mitchell Moses. We saw what he did tonight.

“Galvin has a relationship with Moses already. We have all heard that Galvin and Luai aren’t exactly on the same page.”
