Four-Star DL Chooses Clemson Over Top Competitors, Boosting Tigers 2026 Class

In a major win for Clemson’s 2026 recruiting class, four-star defensive lineman Kameron Cody from Savannah, Georgia, has announced his commitment to the Tigers. The 6-foot-3, 280-pound standout from Benedictine Military School chose Clemson over offers from some of the nation’s top programs, including LSU, Tennessee, Arizona State, and Georgia Tech.

Cody’s recruitment gained significant traction earlier this year when he received an offer from Clemson after an in-home visit by Tigers defensive tackles coach Nick Eason. The visit played a key role in solidifying Cody’s interest in the program. Taking to social media, Cody expressed his excitement, writing, “After an amazing home visit with @CoachEason1, I am blessed to say that I have received an offer from Clemson University.”

During his junior season at Benedictine, Cody showcased his dominant presence on the field. He recorded 75 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 6.5 sacks, solidifying his reputation as one of the top defensive linemen in the 2026 class. His impressive performance earned him recognition as the 53rd-ranked defensive lineman nationally and the 41st-ranked player in Georgia.

Cody’s decision to commit to Clemson adds to the Tigers growing success in recruiting elite talent from Georgia. Clemson has established itself as a force in the Peach State, a key recruiting region for the program. With his combination of size, strength, and athleticism, Cody is poised to make an immediate impact on the Tigers’ defensive line in the coming years, further enhancing Clemson’s pursuit of national championships. Fans and analysts will be watching closely as Cody’s development unfolds at one of the top football programs in the country.

Clemson’s Offensive Architect Is Ready for Spring Execution to Match Experience

Clemson Football Offers Two Top 100 Players in 2026 Recruiting Class

CLEMSON, S.C. – Garrett Riley has seen enough spring football to know one thing: every year, it starts with the basics. Don’t let the titles-“veteran quarterback,” “returning coordinator,” “experienced offensive line”-fool you. For Riley, now entering his second full year as Clemson’s offensive coordinator, spring is about hitting reset. And if there’s one thing he’s emphasizing above all else this time around, it’s sharpness. “We’ve got to lay the foundation of what we do,” Riley told reporters following Clemson’s 10th spring practice.

“I don’t care if it’s the third-year starter in Cade Klubnik. You’ve got to reset.” But what sets this spring apart is continuity. For the first time in Riley’s tenure, the offense is older. The players have been in his system. The staff knows each other. The quarterback is no longer learning the scheme, but owning it. “We Should Be Sharp” It’s not just about understanding the offense anymore. It’s about refining it. “From a continuity standpoint, we’re obviously in a better spot than we were two years ago,” Riley said. “We’ve got to become a very, very sharp team. And we should be. That’s the expectation.”

And it’s not just Klubnik, who Riley credits with elevating his leadership this offseason. There’s a maturity resonating across the unit-at receiver, offensive line, even in a tight end room still adjusting to life post-Jake Briningstool. “Cade’s leadership has obviously improved… but we have really good leadership at other positions, too,” Riley said. “At receiver, at O-line-we’ve got people that have been here for a couple of years. From a leadership standpoint, I really think we’re set up to excel.” What to Watch in the Spring Game So what does Riley want to see when Clemson takes the field for the annual spring game?

Execution. Precision. Leadership. “This has been about sharpness,” he said. “All these guys are talented-they wouldn’t be here if they weren’t. But the difference now is decision-making, especially at quarterback. That comes with reps, and that’s what we’re getting.” As much as the staff loves the raw flashes, Riley knows it’s about translating those into consistent execution. With players like Tyler Brown, who Riley credits for taking a “pro approach” this spring, and Noble Johnson, Bryant Wesco, and Ronnie Williams adding firepower at receiver,

the expectations are growing. And Riley wouldn’t have it any other way. “We’re finally an older group. You’ve got continuity. You’ve got people who’ve played meaningful snaps together,” he said. “I’m excited about our personnel. But more than that, I think our strength will be in our leadership.” That leadership-and how it steers both the veterans and the hungry young talent-will be on full display Saturday. Because in Garrett Riley’s world, spring is where you don’t just set expectations.
