‘
Real asset’ – West Brom update on attacker shared by reporter amid Everton interest
West Brom winger Tom Fellows has been described as a ‘real asset’ for the Baggies this summer by reporter Lewis Cox as they brace for interest.
West Brom could face a battle to keep hold of the attacker this summer. WBA are preparing for another year in the Championship.
Fellows, 21, has been linked with a move away with Everton said to be keen, as per a report by TEAMtalk. He is under contract until June 2027.
Journalist Cox has said on the Express & Star’s Baggies Broadcast Podcast: “Look, I hope Tom Fellows stays, I really do. We probably said during the last few months of last season that if Albion don’t go up then we’d be surprised or we’d expect Fellows to move on this summer. He’s a 21-year-old winger with a season-and-a-half behind him.
“He finished top assister in the Championship last season. It’s hard to justify clubs not coming in for him to be honest. That’s not to say last season was flawless for Fellows, it was his first full season, he had peaks and troughs. He had little periods out of the side when it wasn’t quite going well for him but he remains clearly a real asset and he’s one to keep tabs on and monitor.”
West Brom latest regarding Tom Fellows
West Brom won’t want to lose Fellows in this window. He is a key player for WBA and has a lot of potential.
The England youth international has risen up through the academy ranks at The Hawthorns. He was a regular for the Baggies at various different levels.
Fellows penned first professional terms back in 2021 and made his debut in August of the same year against Arsenal. He was loaned out to Crawley Town in League Two in 2022 to get some experience under his belt.
Upon his return to the Midlands, the Solihull-born man has since become one of West Brom’s most prized assets. He has made 92 appearances in all competitions and has scored nine goals.
What now for Tom Fellows at West Brom?
West Brom can afford to hold out for a decent sized fee as he still time left on his deal. WBA will be bracing themselves for attention in the forward.
It would be hard to stand in the way of a switch to the Premier League, especially if the money was right. Everton have been mentioned and are gearing up for their new era in the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Ryan Mason has the chance to bring in some new faces over the coming weeks to boost his squad. He also has the opportunity to let some players head out the exit door as well if needed.
