Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs Departure: Leicester City Manager Search Insights
Still no comments regarding the managerial situation at Leicester. Ruud van Nistelrooy is the man in charge, no news about him leaving, just yet.
Ange Postecoglou has left his position as Spurs manager. Seeing him arrive at Leicester would have been a dream. However, that is far from a realistic project. Ange will be attractive to top clubs around Europe, so with Leicester being in the Championship, we believe it would be very difficult.
Sean Dyche and Danny Rohl looks to be the two names to count. Liam Rosenior also getting a few comments alongside former Wolves manager Gary O’Neil. Xavi is eager to return to management. There are also links to Cesc Fabregas.
The silence from the club makes it difficult to judge what will happen. As we said earlier with Ruud van Nistelrooy as manager, there is no need for any comments from the club. Things would continue as they are.
The club board and current manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has not spoken, according to the latter. This has started speculations about his future and so far talk and gossip is what has been around the block.
The speculations flourished after an article from Football Insider suggested that Russell Martin had been offered the job. This was far from reality and just gossip. It is strange to see such comments being given when there was no truth at all in the message. The club has so far not spoken to anyone. This scenario seems more than likely. Leicester do have a manager in Ruud van Nistelrooy.
There are rumours flying regarding Leicester assistants Jelle ten Rouwelaar and Brian Barry-Murphy. Both have been linked with different positions at other clubs, but so far no concrete information. ten Rouwelaar has been mentioned in relation to Brighton and a goalkeeper coach position. Barry-Murphy was listed as a potential new manager at Cardiff, but so far nothing confirmed.

One game is scheduled for pre-season. A home friendly vs. sister club OH Leuven. This will take place on 12th of July. Nothing else scheduled so far.
As reported by Graeme Bailey (via FootballFanCast), Leicester are considering Sean Dyche as an option to replace van Nistelrooy this summer. The 53-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Everton during last season, so a return to management could be at the King Power Stadium could be enticing for him.
Dyche has a distinctive style of football, which varies a lot to the approach used by Enzo Maresca when Leicester were last in the Championship. And because of this, there has been some resistance to his possible appointment as the club’s next manager.
