
Ex-Colchester defender Cohen Bramall signs for Portsmouth
FORMER Colchester United defender Cohen Bramall has signed for Championship club Portsmouth.

The 28-year-old has joined Pompey from Rotherham United for an undisclosed fee.
Bramall has joined Pompey on a deal until the end of the 2024/25 Championship campaign.
Portsmouth boss John Mousinho told the club’s website: “We’re delighted to bring in another player who has plenty of experience competing at this level of the game.
“We’ve now have real competition in the left-back position and I can’t wait to get started working with Cohen.”
Bramall made 68 appearances in all competitions for the U’s between August 2019 and February 2021.
He helped Colchester reach the League Two play-offs under John McGreal, scoring in the first leg of their semi-final defeat against Exeter City in 2020.
Bramall left to join Lincoln City in February 2021 and made 54 appearances across all competitions during a two-year spell at LNER Stadium.
The former Arsenal youngster helped Lincoln to the League One play-off final in 2020/21, before joining Rotherham United in July, 2022.
Bramall has now joined Portsmouth and made his debut for them in their 0-0 draw with Burnley.
At about 4.40am, a car carrying four passengers crashed into Dusty’s second-hand shop.
Magdalen Street was closed almost all day, and Essex Police later announced the four people in the car had died.
