Fresh on the heels of Dean Huijsen’s move to Real Madrid, another two players have left the south coast in search of pastures new.Whilst the Cherries have cashed in on Huijsen to the tune of £50 million and are soon expected to see Milos Kerkez leave for Liverpool for a fee in the region of £40 million, beating the Hungarian out of the exit door have been Daniel Jebbison and Max Aarons.
These departures will not see the Dean Court accountant rubbing their hands with such joy, as these departures are just season long-loan deals.
The first to be agreed was striker Daniel Jebbison, the 21-year-old is joining Championship side Preston on a season-long loan deal and has previously worked with Preston North End Manager Paul Heckingbottom whilst at Sheffield United.
“I’m looking forward to working with Jebbo again. I’ve watched him play since he was a teenager and he was great to coach at Sheffield United.
“He‘s someone I always pushed to keep improving during our time together. I’ve always believed in his ability and his potential.
“I know how good he can be and we’re looking to get the best out of him while he’s here working with us.”
Meanwhile, having spent time in Spain last season with Valencia, Aarons is making the move north of the border to Scotland to join Glasgow giants, Rangers.
He too will be linking up with a former coach in the form of Russell Martin who he worked with whilst at former club Norwich City.
Martin has found another managerial role quite quickly following his previous disasterous stint in the Premier League with Southampton.
“First and foremost, the size of this club was the main thing coming here, and as you say Russell was huge for me when I came through at Norwich…“…As soon as I broke up from my loan at Valencia, I had a few weeks away and when I heard the move here could be coming about, I knew the boys were back a little bit earlier than was planned at Bournemouth, so I was doing some work.
“I am ready, and I have stepped up the training. Even though I was on holiday I have come in, I am fit, and I am ready to go.
“I have obviously watched Scottish football over the years, especially the Old Firm games. I think any game with Rangers involved is a huge game and honestly, I can’t wait to take in Ibrox, the fans and the whole thing.…
Good loan all round in what’s going to be an important season for his (Jebbison’s) career if he is to have any chance of breaking into our first team.
Hope he makes it, but currently feel he’s missing that last 10% needed to succeed at the top level but players develop at different rates so certainly not writing him off yet. – To join the conversation, please click here.

Bit strange given the lack of incomings right now. Piece on the radio said most clubs are waiting for the 1st of July before serious negotiations can begin on transfers. – To join this conversation, please click here.
