Borja Sainz’s barber drops hint over Norwich City future
Borja Sainz’s barber has dropped a big hint about the future of the star winger at Norwich City.
After another productive season at the club, which included scoring 18 goals in the EFL Championship, the Spaniard looks to be in demand this summer.
This was despite the 24-year-old missing six games of the campaign after spitting at an opponent during their 2-1 defeat to Sunderland in December.
Sainz joined the Canaries back in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer from Giresunspor, who are a second division side in Turkey.
He has just 12 months remaining on his contract at Carrow Road and was heavily linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray in January.

In a potentially big hint that his future may lie away from East Anglia, Sainz’s barber posted a photo with the footballer outside the O-Yes Kebab shop in Dereham Road.
The caption read: “It’s been a long time, bro, but wishing you all the best in your new adventure.”
The barber then deleted the post before clarifying on another Instagram story: “Sorry for the confusion guys, he’s not leaving Norwich, he’s just going travelling for a while.”
Spanish giants Villarreal have been heavily linked with a move for the winger, with an £11.5 million deal reportedly being discussed.
Three possible Borja Sainz replacements as Norwich City star outlines Premier League dream

Many clubs are queuing up to sign Norwich City goal machine Borja Sainz this summer as the electric winger continues to light up the Championship.
Sainz is leading the Championship Golden Boot race with an impressive 17 goals in 38 matches this term, closely followed by 15-goal ace Joel Piroe and Norwich City teammate Josh Sargent.
Unsurprisingly, the Spanish star’s heroics have led to speculation surrounding his future, with Girona, Galatasaray, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal all interested in landing his signature, while fellow Championship side Sheffield United are lining up a £10 million bid for Sainz this summer.
Sainz is a Premier League-level talent in waiting, and the 24-year-old is destined to go onto bigger and better things than Norwich this summer.
Supporters won’t be pleased to know that he’s also made his intentions clear ahead of the summer transfer window, sending a message to his interested clubs.

Borja Sainz dreams of playing in the Premier League
While Norwich fans have been enjoying the talents of Sainz this term, they can’t afford to get too attached to the winger as his future is likely to be elsewhere.
In an interview with FourFourTwo, Sainz outlined his ambitions of playing Premier League football, which suggests he’d instantly want a move to the top-flight if an offer came in.
“Yes, I want to play for Spain,” he says. “I played before. It will be difficult, but I want to do it, and I want to play in the Premier League.
I need to keep working hard – that’s the most important thing. When each day passes, tomorrow you wake up and say, ‘OK, I am better than yesterday’ – better person, better player. Every day, I need to go step by step.”
The Canaries are currently 13 points off the play-offs, and following their shock 5-3 defeat to Portsmouth on Friday, EFL Analysis exclusively revealed that Norwich are considering the future of Johannes Hoff Thorup in the dugout.
The above comments from Sainz indicate he could be on his way out of Carrow Road this summer, and here are three players they should consider replacing him with.
Three possible replacements for Sainz
Norwich reportedly value Sainz at around £20 million and that is more than enough to land a replacement for the attacker.
It remains to be seen how much would be invested in the squad but the first player they should be looking at if he leaves is Kwame Poku.

The Peterborough United sensation has been in incredible form this term with 12 goals in eight assists in League One, resulting in interest from Birmingham City.
Norwich should also place Tyrhys Dolan on their shortlist in the event Sainz departs as the Blackburn Rovers attacker sees his contract expire in the summer.
Dolan is a silky winger who has been in fine form for Rovers this term with 11 goal involvements in the Championship.
Finally, the Canaries could use their Danish links to capture Isak Jensen. The Denmark under-21 international is a fleet-footed left winger who plays for Viborg and has returned 10 goals in all competitions this season.
