Has AI just leaked Newcastle United's Adidas home kit for the 2025-26 season?

Newcastle United ‘colour-shifting’ Adidas home shirt design leaked with insider claiming leak is ‘close’ to final design

As we head towards the end of the Premier League season speculation increases over the designs of next season’s kits.

Newcastle United’s home shirt design ‘leaked’ a while ago with the idea that the stripes would be made up of a shepherd’s check design.

Indeed, a video has even appeared on social media showing that very shirt being taken out of the packaging with the features being shown.

However, Footy Headlines, who are usually pretty on the ball with kit leaks, are now saying that a new design may actually be closer to the actual final design.

A new design has been leaked ahead of 2025/26 kit reveal

The leaked design for the 2025/26 home kit shows a black Adidas three-stripe logo on the chest opposite the club crest which will once again have the white outline.

On the front will once again be three black stripes but this time the stripes will be made up of tiny squares which cause a ‘colour-shifting’ effect depending on your viewing angle, on the shoulders the three adidas stripes will this time be white.

The photo of the design on Footy Headlines’ website makes it look like the black stripe fades diagonally through the middle, but that may be the colour-shift effect in action.

The leaked design is meant to be ‘close’ to the final product with a couple of changes

Newcastle kit collector @Retro_NUFC has confirmed that the shirt is fairly accurate, with only a few minor changes to the final design, although how they have the inside information, we aren’t sure.

We were fairly convinced that the shepherd’s check design which has been doing the rounds for a while was going to be the design for next season, so for this one to suddenly come out of nowhere has thrown doubt around that, even in spite of that video that appeared on social media.

The shepherd’s check design grew on me over time, and while this latest design initially took me by surprise, I can see myself growing to love this one too.

As for what the actual kit looks like when it’s released later this year, we’ll have to wait and see and we can look back and see how close these leaks were.

Newcastle United have submitted a surprise £50m bid for Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott, according to Fichajes.

The Magpies are reportedly eyeing the England U21 international’s arrival after the season and have taken their first step in Elliott’s pursuit by presenting an early proposal to the Premier League leaders.

Elliott has mostly been a squad player under Arne Slot this season and could be among several Anfield departures this summer, alongside Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez.

The 21-year-old’s future is likely to be defined in the coming weeks, with Newcastle eyeing ‘intense’ negotiations to lure the attacking midfielder to St James’ Park.

According to Fichajes, while Elliott is happy at Liverpool and not actively seeking a move, a £50m proposal from Newcastle could be ‘hard to refuse’ for the Reds, who are looking to rebuild their squad ahead of Slot’s second season.

Elliott has endured an injury-hit campaign at Anfield, making just four starts across all competitions and 17 appearances off the bench.

The 21-year-old, praised as a ‘superstar’, was sidelined with a broken foot for over two months until mid-November and has yet to start in the Premier League this term, with just 128 minutes of top-flight action under his belt so far.

Newcastle are eyeing a busy summer window under Eddie Howe after a relatively quiet 12 months, having improved their financial situation.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, the Magpies are believed to be targeting at least two reinforcements up front, including a right-sided winger and a new centre forward to replace Callum Wilson, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
