Bournemouth agree personal terms with Lille’s Bafodé Diakité
According to a report from L’Équipe, AFC Bournemouth have reached an agreement with Lille OSC’s Bafodé Diakité (24) over personal terms. However, the French outlet stresses that a final agreement between the two clubs is still some way off.
Diakité has become the priority target for the Premier League side following Dean Huijsen’s (20) departure for Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain being heavily linked with a transfer for Ilya Zabarni (22). Diakité who has impressed in his consistency for Lille has caught The Cherries’ attention.
L’Équipe writes that Bournemouth now know Lille’s asking price for a player who has a contract lasting until 2028, with RMC Sport reporting that Lille have set €35m baseline. Bournemouth’s President of Football Operations, Tiago Pinto, and Lille’s president Oliver Létang are in direct communication over this transfer.
