Coventry City have made an important off-field appointment.
The Sky Blues have confirmed Paul Tyrrell will join the club from Nottingham Forest as a new chief operations officer.
A club statement read: “ Coventry City are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Tyrrell as the Club’s new Chief Operations Officer.
“Paul will start his role with the Sky Blues on 21st July, ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
“Paul joins the Club from Nottingham Forest, where he was Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, Paul also held the same role at Aston Villa, as well as having been Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.

“Tyrrell has an extensive background in football, having also had roles at the likes of Fulham, Derby County, Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City.
“Paul will oversee the overall day to day operational areas of the Club including but not limited to Match Day Operations, HR, Safeguarding, Grounds & Facilities, and Academy.
“Paul will report in his new role to the Executive Chairman Doug King.

“Meanwhile Nicola Ibbetson, the Club’s new Chief Business Officer, will begin her role at the Club on Monday.”
