Nottingham Forest plot hijack for Napoli target Dan Ndoye - Yahoo Sports

Nottingham Forest discover how much they will have to pay for Dan Ndoye

Nottingham Forest are in the market for a number of new players this summer, with things getting pretty urgent at the City Ground.

Anthony Elanga has already left the club for Newcastle and Morgan Gibbs-White is being heavily courted by Tottenham before the season gets underway.

Forest have been linked with Dan Ndoye from Bologna as the latest on a long list of names to possibly replace Elanga in the right-wing position.

Right now, that is the one area of the pitch that is proving extremely urgent from a Forest perspective, with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jota Silva the only wingers at the club.

Ndoye feels like a very nice fit from a Forest perspective and now the Reds have actually made a first bid for Ndoye.

It’s been claimed by some reports that Ndoye has agreed personal terms to sign for Forest, but now a fee needs to be agreed with Bologna.

According to Tuttosport, Bologna are looking to recoup a fee of £39 million for their star winger, with Napoli considering making a move for him too.

Ndoye is one of the hottest properties in Serie A and last season he bagged nine goals and claimed six assists as Bologna qualified for the Europa League.

Ndoye doesn’t feel overpriced at £39 million and given that Elanga raised around £60 million in total, landing him looks like a no-brainer from Forest’s point of view.

It would appear as though Ndoye is willing to come to Forest if a deal can be struck between the two clubs but there might be a little problem.

Tutto Napoli have today claimed that Ndoye is actually relaxed about staying with Bologna and might even sign a new contract with them this summer.

That would be a hammer blow to Forest and Napoli, who are both very keen to strengthen their squads with the addition of a talented winger.

Ndoye is only 24, a regular for Switzerland and he looks like a player who is a perfect replacement for Elanga with pace and trickery in abundance.

Hopefully, Forest can use their persuasive powers to show Ndoye that the City Ground is the very best place for him to play his football next season.
