President confirms transfer talks to sign Ipswich Town and Southampton players
Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has told the Turkish media they are in talks to sign Ipswich Town defender Axel Tuanzebe and Southampton forward Paul Onuachu.
Takvim cover a press conference held today by Doğan, and he discussed Trabzonspor’s transfer targets for this summer.
Doğan revealed Tuanzebe is a player they are tracking and one who has been highlighted by the coaching staff. The Trabzonspor chief went on to say they are in negotiations to sign the former Manchester United player.
He then went on to confirm they are in talks to sign long term target Onuachu and that he’s hopeful of finally getting a deal done for the Southampton attacker.
“He’s on our agenda. We’re discussing with him. Hopefully we can complete this soon,” said the Trabzonspor president.
There have been reports in the Turkish media today that Trabzonspor are working on a deal for Tuanzebe and are looking to sign him on a free transfer next month when his contract expires.
Ipswich Town have the option to extend his current deal for another year, but with relegation to the English second tier they may not exercise this.
Onuachu looks close to signing for the Turkish club after claims he’s agreed personal terms to return.
Player looks set for Qatar adventure as Wolves spell comes to end
Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that Pablo Sarabia will leave when his contract expires at the end of this month.

Back in March, La Razón reported Celta Vigo wanted to tempt him with a dizzying offer. A month later, Estadio Deportivo stated the outgoing Wolves player is looking for the last big contract of his career.
AS state Sarabia could be on his way to Al-Arabi SC as they want to bring him to Qatar on a free transfer this summer.
With his contract expiring at Wolves, the attacking midfielder has already received offers from European clubs. Despite this, the Spaniard has favoured a move to Qatar.
According to the report, the former Sevilla man could travel to the Middle East in the next few hours to seal the deal.
Al-Arabi appointed his compatriot, Pablo Amo, as their manager earlier this year. A move to the Qatari club will see him play alongside former Real Betis man, Rodri.
Sarabia joined Wolves in January 2023 and managed eight goals and 12 assists from 77 games.
