Thomas Frank ‘ready to step up’ for Tottenham amid Postecoglou claim – Exclusive
Thomas Frank has been mooted for the Tottenham job if Ange Postecoglou faces the sack at the end of the campaign.
Tottenham will be well aware of how big their upcoming Europa League final is for a multitude of reasons ahead of the new campaign.
Not only is it Postecoglou’s only hope of saving his job, but it is the only chance that Spurs have of securing European football next season.
A failure to do that will have major implications on everything on and off the pitch at North London, including the managerial situation.

Tottenham could make move to hire Frank this summer
Regardless of their Europa League outcome, the feeling is that Postecoglou will face the sack, leaving them in the hunt for a new manager.
Xavi has been linked with the job, as has Frank, and Paul Robinson thinks the latter would be the perfect hire for Tottenham.
Speaking to Tottenham News, he said: “The likelihood is that Postecoglou isn’t going to be there to start next season. My personal preference would be Thomas Frank. I think he’s an excellent manager. I’ve met him maybe once or twice. Every time I’ve met him, I’ve been extremely impressed with him, the way that he is, everything you hear about him, the way that he handles himself with players, with families, his man management skills.
“He just seems a genuine type of character who deserves a step up to the next level. That’s no disrespect to Brentford, because they are at the next level at the moment to Tottenham. They’re sat ninth, Tottenham are sixteenth. But on the size of football clubs, Tottenham are a much bigger football club. And for him to come into somewhere like Tottenham, it may need somebody like that who can manage the whole club. And I think that’s what he can do. He’s good at that.
“He’s not just the manager of the football team. He manages the whole club. He manages the people, the staff, and the expectations in a similar way to what Pochettino did. So, for me, Thomas Frank would be the one that I’d like to see there.”

Daniel Levy must appoint experienced Premier League boss
Postecoglou could very well become the first manager to win a trophy at Tottenham in 17 years, but his domestic failures have massively overshadowed their success in Europe.
Tottenham could finish as low as 17th this season, showcasing how poor they have been, and if that is to change, they need someone who knows what it takes to thrive in the Premier League.
Frank would fit that bill, leaving Daniel Levy with a tough decision to make this summer.
Thomas Frank says Man City have the strongest player he’s ever seen, it’s not Erling Haaland
Several traits make Erling Haaland the superstar striker he is.
The Norwegian has been a huge hit at Man City ever since making the move to the Etihad Stadium from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, with his goalscoring record being one of the many reasons the 24-year-old is adored.
Haaland has not been happy with his performances for Man City this season, however, the superstar still has 30 goals to his name, making up the 120 he has scored across 138 appearances for the Manchester club since his arrival.
An attribute that helps Haaland achieve such numbers is his strength, and despite many viewing the six-foot-four striker as the strongest player in the Premier League, Brentford’s manager, Thomas Frank, thinks Man City have another player who is stronger.

Thomas Frank thinks Rodri is stronger than Erling Haaland
Frank is a man who knows a thing or two about strong players, as it is a trait the Danish coach desires in his Brentford team.
When asked to build the perfect player by the Daily Mail’s TikTok account, the Bees boss selected Rodri when it came to the strength category.
The Man City star was in good company as Frank used Lionel Messi, Ronaldo and Andres Iniesta to make up the rest of his perfect player.
Rodri is currently building up his strength at present, as the Spaniard has returned to training having been out of action for months with a serious knee injury.
The 28-year-old is getting closer to a much-anticipated return, and Pep Guardiola revealed on Friday whether the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner is close to returning to action.

The latest on Rodri’s return from injury
Rodri picked up a serious knee injury against Arsenal back in September, and the Spain international has not been seen since, with many believing the 28-year-old’s absence has played a big factor in the underwhelming season Man City have experienced.
The Manchester club will have the midfielder back for the Club World Cup this summer, however, Rodri could return to action earlier for Man City.
On Friday, Guardiola stated that Rodri is not available for the Manchester club’s trip to Southampton on Saturday; therefore, with no minutes under his belt, next weekend’s FA Cup final is unlikely to be the Spaniard’s return date.
