Wrexham have a gem in defender Max Cleworth.
Cleworth is currently partying in Las Vegas amid Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenneyâs end of season treat for the Wrexham squad after securing promotion to the Championship.
The 22-year-old academy product has enjoyed another outstanding campaign and Cleworthâs team mates were full of praise after he picked up two awards in the clubâs end of season ceremony at the Racecourse Ground.
Ryan Barnett and Cleworth picked up a League One award after being named in the divisionâs team of the season and Cleworth is under no illusions as to who to thank for his development.

Max Cleworth credits Phil Parkinson for his career development
Speaking to the Leader, Cleworth has highlighted the support of Phil Parkinson during his time with Wrexham.
Cleworth stated: âI owe the gaffer a lot with what heâs done for me in my career, heâs almost made it really in terms of giving me the chance and Iâd like to think that Iâve repaid him a fair bit.â
âTo get those words off him as well means a lot and to win Young Player of the Season three out of four years is something to be really proud of.â
Cleworth can break a Wrexham record next season by becoming Parkinsonâs most-used player should the defender continue to thrive and Paul Mullin departs the club as expected.
Max Cleworth highlights two Wrexham academy products
Wrexhamâs academy has been upgraded to a category three establishment, highlighting the good work behind the scenes being completed by Michael Williamson at the club.
Cleworth has identified two players that supporters will want to keep an eye on for next season and the years beyond.
He explained: âThis club is known for producing young players and I hope the likes of Harry Ashfield, whoâs done really well this year, and Aaron James are the next ones to come through.
Thereâs one Welcome to Wrexham favourite who wonât be appearing in season four, fans will be disappointed
Wrexham will soon need to make a decision on players out of contract.
Steven Fletcherâs contract decision and that of several other players has to be made by May 17th according to EFL rules.
Phil Parkinson has been known to be ruthless in the past over retaining fan favourites, Ben Tozer and Aaron Hayden were among big names to depart the Racecourse Ground last summer.
Rob McElhenney hates players leaving Wrexham and amid the new season of âWelcome to Wrexhamâ being released, Wrexham Insider explains why one fan favourite wonât be a part of season four.

Why Luke Young wonât appear in âWelcome to Wrexhamâ season four
âWelcome to Wrexhamâ season four is being released on 15th May to viewers in the US but a player who featured heavily in season three will not take part in the new episodes.
Luke Young was an important figure for the Red Dragons during their promotion from League Two but departed the club last summer.
Upon his release from Wrexham, Young moved to League Two outfit Cheltenham Town and helped the club to a respectable 15th place finish.
The 32-year-old midfielder made 39 appearances for Cheltenham this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
Phil Parkinson admired Luke Young at Wrexham
Young was excellent during his time in North Wales and made 246 appearances for the club across a six-year spell.
He was an integral part of the side during their promotion from the National League and Young was McElhenneyâs favourite player.
Parkinson was also a fan of Young and this season used his former midfielder as an example to his current squad about showing the right attitude and commitment to the club.
Parkinson stated: âWhether you play for two minutes, 92 minutes or donât make the squad â everybodyâs got a part to play in terms of the way they train every day and the way they conduct themselves around the training ground.
âA couple of years ago I remember closing in on the National League title and Luke Young found himself out of the team â a stalwart of the team.
âYoungyâs a great example because as much as he found himself suddenly out of the team he conducted himself brilliantly and played his part â as he did last year. Thatâs just the nature of a football squad in the course of a season.â
