Now, coming to the optimistic part, Southampton and McKenna might not even cross paths this time. That’s because the Football Insider has hinted about Brentford’s Thomas Frank filling Postecoglou’s void in London as well as McKenna carrying over Frank’s consistent mid-table reputation at Brentford.
Indeed, that’s an exciting turn of events Southampton didn’t see coming. Maybe the Saints are in line to receive a stress-free season for once, right after one of their most gruelling campaigns in a while.
